Funeral Service for Mrs. G. In't Veld
Funeral services for Mrs. Gerrit In't Veld, 74, who died Thursday at the Sioux Center hospital following a long illness, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Reformed church in Maurice. The Rev. Martin Hoekman officiated. Burial was in the Sioux Center Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center.
Mrs. In't Veld, the former Bertha Altena, was born September 8, 1890, at Maurice. She was married to Gerrit In't Veld there February 25, 1914.
Survivors include the widower; five daughters, Mrs. James Brink of Sioux Center, Mrs. John Bruxvoort of Luverne, Minn., Mrs. Brant Kreun of Chandler, Minn., and Mrs. Andrew Van Voorthuysen and Mrs. Ralph Wassenaar, both of Redlands, Calif., three brothers, Sam and Jake, both of Sioux Center, and Henry of Rock Valley, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Tony De Boom of Maurice, Mrs. Art Klien of Sioux Center and Mrs. Albert In't Veld of Worthington,Minn.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
