Jane and George were born in Scotland, married 29 Dec 1871 in Armadale, Scotland. They came to the US in 1880 with their 5 year old daughter, Jane, and 3 year old son, Hugh. (Passenger lists indicate that Hugh came later in 1883 but the family Bible says 1880.) Jane's Mother was Ann Stewart, her Father was James MacDonald. George's Mother was Martha MacIntosh, his Father was Hugh Simpson.
