Bolse Whitney was the son of Pedro Whitney and Mary Bond "Polly" Whitney. He married Edwina Carver in 1940 and they had two sons, Roger and Rudolph. Siblings were Ethel, Audrey, Jack, Mildred and Angie Pearl. He was an outdoorsman and spent many hours hunting, fishing and trapping.
