She had one sister, Theodocia Pearl Whitfield Jopes (6/28/1873 - 2/11/1969). On 18 May,1892,she was married to Pedro D. Whitney (9/8/1870 - 5/8/1926)in Hancock County, MS. They had seven children: Audrey Jo Whitney Hart; Jack Whitney; Ethel Vivian Whitney Rody; Henry Crass "Bolse" Whitney; Angie Pearl Whitney Mullens; Pedro Coburn Whitney; Mildren Inez Whitney Warren. She had seven grandchildren: Leigh,Terry and Paula Hart; Hover Ladner, Rudolph and Roger Whitney; Gail Warren
