Mildred was the daughter of Pedro and Mary Bond "Polly" Whitfield Whitney. She married first Rankin Rester and second Jay Warren. She had one daughter, Gail Rester Roniger, two grandsons and one great-grandson. Siblings were Audrey, Ethel, Henry "Bolse," Jack, P.D. and Angie Pearl.
