MOWEAQUA - Wanda Louise Baird, 84, of Moweaqua, died 3:15 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 6, 1999) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials: First Baptist Church, 300 N. Putnam, Moweaqua, IL 62550 or American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Baird was born in Cowden on July 18, 1914, the daughter of Jacob and Corda Christie Lockart. She was a retired beautician, member of First Baptist Church and a member of Tacuseh Chapter 682 Order of the Eastern Star. She married Gilbert Baird in Moweaqua on June 13, 1936.
Surviving are her husband; son, Charles and wife Tina of Assumption; sister, Virginia Adams of Moweaqua; sister-in-law, Mary Lockart of Moweaqua; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Lockart.
