MOWEAQUA-George Thomas Lockart,64, of Moweaqua died 12:15 am Monday Oct. 18, 1982 in St.Marys hospital,Decatur. Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday in Seitz funeral home Moweaqua,with visitation 5 to 8 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery, Moweaqua.
Mr.Lockart was born in Shelby county,son of Jacob and Corda Lockart. He was a farmer a driver for Northern Propane, a member of First United Methodist church,Shelby County Farm Bureau and Moweaqua Rookery.
He married Mary Herman in 1940. Surviving are his wife, son,Michael of Eureka,daughter,Mrs. Steve(Marianne) Simmons of Mt.Zion, sisters, Mrs.Wanda Baird and Mrs. Virginia Adams, both of M0weaqua,five grandchildren.
