Mrs. Lloyd Burton
Roberta Mae Burton, 80, of Route 2, died Friday, April 8, in a local nursing home, following an extended illness.
She was born in Wetzel County, Aug. 1, 1902, a daughter of the late James Ward and Rozena Tharp Newman.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Burton of New Martinsville; two sons, Okey W. And Curtis B. Burton, both of Route 2; one daughter; Mrs. William (Auttie) Nice, Route 1, New Martinsville; three brothers, Joe Newman, New Martinsville, Okey Newman, Wallace, William Newman, Route 4, Clarksburg; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Mrs. Burton was a member of the Arlington Baptist Church.
