MRS. ALLEN DIES AT AGE 92 YEARS

Mrs Charity Allen, 92, died early this morning of old age at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. McDivitt, 207 South Twelfth street. Mrs. Allen had been staying with her daughter, Mrs. William W. Reed, of Winchester, for the winter, until the time of the semi-centennial celebration of the founding of the South Eighth street Friends' congregation, held in the church, January 17, 18 and 19. She was the most aged woman at the banquet held in the church on January 18, and was a charter member of the congregation.

Her illness and death were not caused by her attendance there, the members of her family said today. She had been ailing from a bad cold for only a few days, but the infirmity from old age made her unable to counteract the effects of the cold.

The deceased leaves three daughters, Mrs. E. E. McDivitt; Mrs. Monroe Gaar, Burrien Springs, Mich.; Mrs. William W. Reed, Winchester; and one son, George Carter Allen, Dallas, Tex. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
