Grace Allen Is Pneumonia Victim – The community was again saddened Sunday when word was received that Grace Allen, 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Allen of the South Spring Creek community had passed away in the St. Francis Hospital at Grand Island. Death was caused from pneumonia with which she had been ill for some time. Funeral services in charge of the McIntyre mortuary were conducted by Rev. Walter Chittenden in the Lutheran church at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, burial being made in the Rose Hill cemetery at Waverly, Nebraska. Pall bearers were Gordon Wagner, Harold Glines, Carroll Berney, Donald Borre, Raymond Janc and Leander Novak.
OBITUARY – Grace Evelyn Allen was born on a farm nine miles north east of Wolbach, August 18, 1922, and passed away February 28, 1937 at the age of 14 years, 6 months and 10 days. She leaves to mourn her passing aside from her parents, four brothers, Will, Irvin, Albert and Jack, and three sisters, Dorothy, Lois and Lorraine, all of Wolbach, one grandmother, and numerous relatives and friends. One brother, Earl, preceded her in death less than a month ago.
