George Ainsworth Bagley was the son of James Bagley and Eliza Jane Anderson. He was one of five children, Effie Jane, Samuel Thomas, William Wesley, and Eliza. After his mother died, his father married Alice Stafford and they had four more children, Mary Ellen, Ivory, Vesper Pearl, and Luella.

George Baglyey (sic), 73, died this morning about 3:30 while being taken from the bus terminal to Loretto hospital. It is said he was suffering from an asthmatic condition.
The body was taken to Blackwell-Shaw Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 with Dr. A.J. Quinn, First baptist church pastor, officiating.
Little could be learned about Bagley this morning. It is said he has an older sister whose whereabouts could not be ascertained immediately. His bus ticket was made out from Denver to Dalhart. It was also said he was staying at a local hotel.
Officials of Loretto hospital say he was there for asthma treatments about three days ago."
