R. Maxine Brown, 87, Greensburg, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born January 26, 1924 in Decatur County, In., she was the daughter of Otis Buell and Bertha Clemons Buell. She worked many years at the Greensburg Elks Club restaurant. Graduated from High School and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Omicron Alpha Sorority. She enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles. She was married to Norbert J. Brown and he passed away December 9, 1997. Survivors include two sons; Richard K.(Barcla K.) Brown, Mark J. Brown and two daughters; Nancy (Bill) Cobler, Debbie (Charles) Meadows all of Greensburg and two brothers; Donald Buell, Greensburg and James Buell of Whiteland, In. and one sister; Martha Davis, Greensburg. 16 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren, and Several Great Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by son William J. Brown and daughter Sue Thompson and two sisters Betty Small and Sarah Layton, and brother Joe Buell. Visitation will be July 17, 2011 Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home and a rosary service at 2:30 Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Service Monday July 18, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
