FRANK J. GUNSALLUS Frank James Gunsallus, formerly of Juniata, and for the past year and a half residing with a niece, Mrs. James Updike, 304 Hancock St., Northwood, died Tuesday at 5:40 p.m. at Tyrone Hospital after a lenghty illness. He was born Aug. 22, 1895 at Bald Eagle, a son of Frank and Annabelle Hoover Gunsallus. He was married to Verna B. Frantz, who died March 25, 1963. Surviving is a brother, John, of Tipton, and several nieces and nephews. He attended North wood Chapel. He was a member of Howard Gardner Post 281 American Legion, and was a veteran of World War I. He was employed at the Juniata Shops, Pennsylvania Railroad Co., retiring in 1960 after 41 years service. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, in charge of Pastor Wayne Walker. Burial will be in Bald Eagle Cemetery, with military honors. Frank served during World War I as a Private in 120th Army Engineer Corps from 5 Sep 1918 to 15 Dec 1918.
