HASMICK GOODELL

LOS ANGELES - Private services were held Oct. 30 at Pierce Brothers Mortuary of Los Angeles for Harmick V. Goodell, of Los Angeles who died that day at her home in Los Angeles.

A native of Chicago, Mrs. Goodell was reared in Chico, attending local schools. She also attended the Chicago Art Institute and Otis and Chounard Schools of Los Angeles and the University of California at Los Angeles.

Known for her artistic abilities, Mrs. Goodell had a book of her poems published in 1936. She contributed many articles to magazines and newspapers on the preservation and protection of trees.

Her survivors include her husband, Everett A. Goodell of Los Angeles; two sisters, Nena V. Childs of Chico and Araks V. Tolegian of Sherman Oaks; and a brother, Vartkes H. Vartabedian of Chico.

Mrs. Goodell was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Vartabedian. Mr. Vartabedian was a prominent Chico business man for many years.
