Antranik was born in Chabin Kariser, Armenia and emigrated to the United States in about 1895. He worked in New York and later moved to Chicago. He married Berjoohy Kahrimanian when she came to the United States in 1908. They had two children in Chicago (Hasmick and Vartkes)then moved to Chico in the fall of 1910 where they had three more children, Berj, Nena and Araks.
He opened a cleaning establishment at 231 Main Street which later became the CASH CLEANERS and was run by his son, Vartkes, for 52 years.
