Anna E. Crackel
Anna (Blaseg) Crackel, daughter of Paul and Regina Blaseg, was born August 28, 1893 in rural Douglas County, South Dakota. She died July 20, 1986 at the Sunset Nursing Home in Park Rapids, MN at the age of 92.
She moved to Hand County with her family to a farm in 1907, where she later met and married Elroy Crackel, January 15, 1913. To this union nine children were born.
In 1936 she moved to Cass County, Minnesota with her famiy to a farm in Ansel Township and resided there until 1971. She then moved to her lake home at Laporte where she resided until September 24, 1985, when she entered Sunset Nursing Home in Park Rapids.
Anna is survived by five sons: Herbert of Sebeka, MN, Lynn of Brainerd, MN, Leroy of Hakensack, MN, Wilbur of Silver Bay, MN and Warren of Willmar, MN; three daughters: Evelyn Borstner of Park Rapids, MN, Eleanore Synstad and Christine Hutchinson, both of Laporte, MN; thirteen grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many step-great-granchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two brothers: Walter, Wessington and Fred of Clancy, MT; four sisters: Regina Rehblein, Wagner, Josephine Bingham, Hot Springs, Hedwig Vollmer of Spokane, WA and Agnes Sebeka, Helena, MT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy in 1955; one daughter Kathryn Mantyla; four brothers, Henry, Joseph, Paul and Arnold; two sisters, Marie Parker and Louise Lawler; one step-grandson, Dennis Bacon.
Funeral services were in Minnesota.
