ASHTON - Bernice J. Skorupa, 93, of Loup City, formerly of Ashton, died Wednesday, Mary 22, at the Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. The Rev. Fredrick Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery. Visitation will be..at the Loup City Memorial Funeral Home...

Miss Skorupa was born Sept. 17, 1897, at Tarnov to Michael and Mary (Bogus) Skorupa. She grew up and received her education at the rural school in Paplin. She was a seamstress all her life. In 1980, she moved to the Rose Lane Nursing Home in Loup City, Nebraska and lived there until her death. She never married. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the St. Francis Rosary Sodality and the St. Josaphat's Rosary Sodality of Loup City.

She is survived by one sister, Sister Adelle Skorupa, Cr. of Ingleside, Ill. and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Alois, Leo, Henry, Cyril, Henry and Ted.
