Born Dec. 3, 1937, in Dwyer, N.M., he was a son of the late Federico T. Baca and Eulalia Placencio Baca, who were of Luna County, N.M.
Frank was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a member of the Church of Christ in Concord. A highly decorated Vietnam veteran, he was a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, having served his country for over 26 years.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Young Baca; a son, Francisco P. Baca, Jr. of Hawaii; a daughter, Debra Y. Kam of Hawaii; a brother, Antonio P. Baca and wife Nora; seven sisters, Anita B. Orosco, Doria B. Hunter and husband Jim, Manuela B. Van and husband Gene, Helen B. Valenzuela and husband Lorenzo, Rosa B. Bustamante and husband Danny, Ruth B. Costales and husband Reymundo and Eva B. Uzueta and husband Edward; a special niece, Nancy B. Stepan and husband Joseph; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Service: A memorial service for Mr. Baca will be conducted in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Tommy Poarch will officiate. The U.S. Marine Corps will provide military honors. Burial will be in Jericho Church of Christ Cemetery in Mocksville at a later date.
