Zenoba Zerena "Nobie" (Bailey) Peterson was born 27 July 1888 in Panola County, Texas. She was the daughter of William Francis "Barto" Bailey and America Jane (Lake) Bailey.

She married Jacob Henry Peterson on 22 December 1909. He was born 10 March 1865 in Jacksboro, Jack, Texas and died 17 Jul 1923 in Colorado.

They had 7 children:

Seward Earnest Peterson (1915-1991)
Leona Mae Peterson (1917-1917)

Zenoba died on 17 February 1929 in Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. She is buried there at Red Hill Cemetery.
