Mrs. Myrtle V. Crotsley, 80, of Saltillo died Friday, September 23, 1966, at 12:35 p.m. in the Lewistown Hospital where she had been a patient for the past four weeks. She had been in failing health for the past six months.
Born in Hares Valley on June 18, 1886, she was a daughter of Isaac Newton and Mary (Chilcote) Querry. She was united in marriage to Charles E. Crotsley on September 9, 1909 at Altoona by the rev. Horace Lincoln Jacobs of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband: two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Hamilton, Three Springs and Mrs. Pauline Shope, Saltillo, and a son Kenneth Crotsley, Saltillo. There are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also serviving is a brother, Elba Querry, Mapleton Depot R.D.
The deceased was a member of the Saltillo Methodist Church. She belonged toe WSCS of the church, and to the Womens's Bible Class of the church.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 26, at 2 p.m. from the McClain funeral home, Cassville. The Rev. Edward Utte will officiate and the interment will be made in the Bowman's Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton R.D. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday until the hour of the service Monday.
