He was born September 7, 1882, at Mapleton Depot, R.D., a son of Israel Newton and Mary (Chilcote) Querry. He was married to Elda Steven on December 23, 1909, by the Rev. I. H. Dean at the EUB Church parsonage at Three Springs.
The deceased is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Park, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Brechbiel and Mrs. Raph (Eleanor) Pannebaker, al of Mapleton Depot, R.D.; Lewis Querry, Barberton, Ohio, and Mrs. Berlyn (Mary) Bowman, Dover, Del. One son preceded him in death. There are 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Charles Crotsley, Saltillo, and one brother, Elba Querry, Mapleton Depot, R.D. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Latta Grove EUB Church. During his life Mr. Querry was a farmer and woodsman. He resided at the same farm home all his life. He was a devoted father and a kind neighbor and friend.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 27, at 2 p.m., at Green's funeral home, Huntingdon. The Rev. Charles Miller, pastor of the Latta Grove EUB Church, and the Rev. R. G. Halliwell, former pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Bowman's Chapel Cemetery in Smith Valley, Mapleton Depot, R.D. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon on Wednesday until the time for the service.
