John W. Schell was the son of Fred A. and Dora(Reynolds) Schell. He died unexpectedly on 4 Sep 1975 at the Richland Center Hospital, after suffering a heart attack at home. He was married to Bessie L. Collins on 11 Sep 1936 at Galena, IL. After ther marriage, they lived in Baraboo, WI, later moving to Excelsior. Mr Schell formerly owned and operated logging trucks. Since 1960 he and his wife owned and operated Schell's Grocery Store and Gas Station in Excelsior. Surviviors are his wife, Bessie, a daughter, Mrs. Gary(Sharon) Kjos, Boscobel, two sisters, Mrs. Mabel McDowell, Cascade, IA and Mrs Alma Brown, Excelsior, two brothers, Harry, Blue River and Louis, Cascade, IA, a grandaughter, Dawnell Kjos, Boscobel and nieces, nephews and cousins.. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred A in 1938 and Dora A in 1941 and two brothers, Roy R. in 1958 and Lloyd H. in 1927.
