Bessie was the daughter of Edmund and Amy Collins of Excelsior. She died at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison during heart surgery. She was married to John W. Schell of Excelsior, who preceded her in death in 1975. Her and John spent most of their lives in the Excelsior area where they owned and operated Schell's Grocery Store and Gas Station. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Sharon) Kjos of Boscobel;, there grandchdhildren, Dawnell, John and Laurie Jo Kjos, six sisters, Leone McCauley, Anna Masilko both of Muscoda, Georgia Yuhouse of Mason City, Iowa, Esther Pippin of Blue River,WI, Freda Clark of Woodstock, IL, Laura Collins of Richland Center, four brothers, Theo(Mildred) Collins, of Blue River, Ray Collins of Beloit, LaVon(Wynola) Collins of San Francisco, several neices and nephews; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death , besides her husband, her parents, a sister, Bernice Dyer; two brothers, Kenneth and Myron Collins.
