DEATH OF B. DAVIS NOXON. - B. Davis Noxon, Esq., one of the oldest and worthiest residents of this city and county, was killed yesterday afternoon, by being struck by a locomotive of an Oswego Road freight train. He was at the time walking on the track, at the outer bounds of the city, and when the signal whistle blew, half turned around for a moment, then moved ahead again, and was in the act of stepping off the track as the locomotive struck him. He was thrown several feet, receiving a scalp wound, but not otherwise disfiguring him. But the shock was sufficient to end the life of one of his years and condition. The train was stopped, the body taken on board and brought back to the freight house, where it was taken in charge by undertaker Ryan, and conveyed to his residence, corner of Townsend and Willow streets.
