Obituary:
Syracuse, New York
January 8, 1874
Death of Mrs. Noxon
One by one the old time residents are passing away. To the number is now to be added Mrs. Sally Ann Noxon, wife of the late Hon. B. Davis Noxon. At the goodly age of eighty-one years has she gone peacefully to her rest. Deceased was a resident of Syracuse more than forty years, and before that at Onondaga. She was the mother of Hon. Jas. Noxon, B. D. Noxon, Esq., Mrs. Geo. F. Comstock, Mrs. A. H. Hovey, and other children whose names to not come to mind - grown up to call her blessed. She was a woman of decided character, abounding in those womanly qualities that win the esteem and love of all with whom brought in contact; the loving wife, tender mother, the true woman, the warm hearted friend. Very many will join their sorrow with those of the family in this affliction.
