PROMINENT WOMAN DIES
Services Held Tuesday For Mrs. Ruby G. Winkel

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby G. Winkel, wife of John Winkel, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Richfield Second Ward Chapel.

Mrs. Winkel died early Sunday Morning in the Sevier Valley Hospital of complications following a major operation.

Robert McKinlay of the Second Ward Bishopric conducted the services. Speaker were George Staples and Enoch Larson with short remarks made by Mr. McKinlay.

Musical numbers included a selection by the ward choir under the direction of Mrs. L.A. Poulson with Miss Pamela Poulson as accompanist; solos, "Oh Dry Those Tears" and "The Drema", Mrs. Roene Di Fiore with Miss Poulson as pianist; solo, "Going Home", Maurice Clayton with Mrs. Di Fiore as accompanist.

The invocation was by Loris P. Allen, a brother-in-law of John Winkel and the benediction was by Francis Winkel, his brother. Another brother, Bishop Thys Winkel dedicated the grave.

Pallbearers were Scott Nelson, John Nielson, Floyd Hansen, Max Marquardson, Murray Nelson and Chad Heppler.

Mrs. Winkel was born February 5, 1910 in Elsinore, a daughter of Christian Lars and Christena Nielson Gregerson. She married John Winkel, September 1, 1933 in Richfield. She has been an active L.D.S. church worker, having served as a primary and Sunday School teacher.

Surviving besides her husband are a son, Jack Winkel, Richfield; and the following brothers and sisters, Wallace Gregerson, Fresno, Cal., Reed Gregerson, Central; Mrs. Zar Hayes, Mrs. Vegh Christensen and Mrs Glen Yergensen, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Lyn Utley, Joseph.

Burial was in the Richfield Cemetery.
