Elmer "Pat" Huxsol
Elmer "Pat' Huxsol, 83, a lifelong resident of Floyd County, died Monday afternoon at the 11th St. Chautauqua Home.
Funeral services for "Pat" Huxsol will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hauser Funeral Home. Rev. Vernon Sorensen, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Ceme tery. Masonic rites will be conducted at the Hauser Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. John (Jean) Sebern of Charles City; two granddaughters, Miss Judy Sebern of lowa City and Mrs. Hunt (Jan) Gilliland of Hobe Sound, Fla., a brother, Julius Huxsol of Charles City and a sister, Nellie Anderson of Modesto, Calif. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers and six sisters.

Elmer Gilbert Huxsol was born June 21, 1898, in Floyd County, the son of August and Elizabeth Keller Huxsol. He received his education in rural school near his home and on Sept. 15, 1926, he and Cora Mae Livingston were married at Charles City. Mrs. Huxsol died in 1974. The Huxsols farmed south of Charles City. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Knights of Pythias, a 50 year Mason and a member of the Iowa Consistory.
