Paul was born in Zukowice Stare Poland in 1877.
Immigrated and arrived in New York City on 16 November 1878 on the ship "North Star" with his parents and siblings.
Alternate immigration date: Arriving New York City on 4 December 1878 on the ship SS State Nevada. Further research needed.

After suffering for some months with Bright's disease, Paul Briggs passed away last Saturday at St. Mary's hospital where he had been receiving medical attention about a week. Mr. Briggs was 41 years old and unmarried. He had resided in and near Columbus for many years and at the time that his illness made him give up active work he was employed on the Hadwigger farm on the island south of Duncan. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Czapla, living near Genoa; his step-mother, Mrs. M. Briggs, of Columbus; two half-sisters, Mrs. Skorupa, of Duncan and Miss Mary Briggs of Columbus, and a half-brother, Frank Briggs, of Columbus. Funeral services were held at St. Bonaventure's church Tuesday morning and burial was made in the Catholic cemetery.
