G.W. Galloway was the son of James and Seraphine (Barnes) Galloway and the husband of Susan C. White whom he married Jul 20, 1865. Sgt George W. Galloway served in CSA (TN 59th Infantry, Co. F), fought at Vicksburg and was wounded and parolled. He is listed as CSA pensioner (S6643) from Sullivan Co., TN as is his wife, Susan C. Galloway (widow's pension # W7318). George and Susan lived in Washington Co., Va., for many years, but in later years they resided in Sullivan Co., Tn. Their children were: Rufus, Sallie, James Robert, George Holly, Mallisa, Laura, and Nathaniel.
