William Arthur Tenney, Jr., 72 years old, a San Diego, California Mormon pioneer leader died at his home on Tuesday, 24 Sep 1957 in San Diego, San Diego, California.
Tenney was a retired Real Estate Broker. He was appointed president of the San Diego Branch of the Mormon Church in 1920 and has served in other capacities as he resided in California since his appointment. He served for two years as a Mormon Missionary on the San Diego county Indian reservations.
William Arthur Tenney, Jr. was born 17 Oct 1885 in Walnut Grove/Richville, Apache, Arizona to William Arthur Tenney, Sr. and Jemima Susanna Richey.
Survivors are his widow, A. Christena; two sons, Horald A. and Kenneth W., and four daughters, Mrs. Gwen Brown, Mrs. Barabra Shaw, Mrs. Muriel Price and Mrs. Louise Smith, all of the San Diego area.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the San Diego Stake Chapel, 2005 Hamilton St., followed by Interment at Greenwood Memorial Park.
