Crazed by jealousy, Jesus Munoz shot Mrs. Cruz Moreno, killing her instantly Thursday afternoon, and then fired a shot into W. A. Tenney, who on hearing the shots, went over to the home of the woman to investigate the apparent trouble. On reaching the place, which was just across the street from the rear of Tenney's livery barn, Munoz stepped to the door and fired a shot at Tenney, the shot passing through his heart, killing him instantly.

William Arthur Tenney was a native of southern Utah, and would have been 56 years of age had he lived until May 26.

He came to Casa Grande in June of 1914, and made his home with his son, W. A. Tenney Jr. and family. He leaves a family of eight children, who are: Mrs. Louise Sanden, Mrs. Grace Johnson, Carl Tenney, Gwendolin Tenney, Mrs. Selma Polson, Mrs. Vera Carroway, Jack Tenney and W. A. Tenney Jr., his eldest son.

The funeral services will be conducted under the auspices of the Odd Fellows, of which he as a member for many years. He was the organizer of the local lodge of the I.O.O.F., and was one of the principal officials of the lodge. The Florence lodge will attend the funeral in a body and participate in the services. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the family residence.

Casa Grande loses one of its best citizens in the person of "Dad" Tenney, as he was familiarly known by everybody in the valley.
