Elizabeth "Minnie" PEACH was born 29 February 1892 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, daughter of Francis Xavier "Oliver" POIRIER aka PEACH and Emma DUROCHER. Her parents and siblings records can be found under the surname PEACH in everyday documents, but recorded under their French Canadian surname POIRIER in church records. She was the 6th child in the family of 11 children - 9 girls and 2 boys, Joseph, Anna (Harry SOUTHARD), Emma (Genaro James AMABILE-ALBANO), Lena (Edward BEAUDRY), Mary (Luke SMITH), Lottie (Nathaniel HENRY), Laura (Lawrence BURKE), Blanche (James CRAWFORD), and two others who died in infancy. She married Archie B. COVILLE, son of Albert COVILLE and Laura P. SNOW, in Enfield, Connecticut on 4 September 1909. Archie deserted her a few months before the birth of their child, Bertrum COVILLE (1910-1976). Minnie divorced Archie on grounds of desertion in 1914. Minnie remarried Edmund "Ted" Martin Jobson HOLLISTER in Springfield, Massachusetts on 1 May 1915. Together they raised Betrum "Bert", but did not have any children of their own. The couple farmed over the years in Connecticut and Massachusetts and eventually retired to a small farm on Stony Hill Road in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Minnie died at home on 22nd December 1960 in Wilbraham, Ma. and Ted, resident of Springfield, passed on the 13th June 1966 in an automobile accident in Kimball Hospital, Wauregan, Connecticut (resident of Springfield). The farm land was eventually sold and neighborhood homes now occupy the farm site acreage. [Data provided by Find-A-Grave contributor Margaret Fearn. Thank you Margaret!]
