Richard F. Baker, 91, of Decatur, a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur.

The Adams County native retired from Decatur Industries and also worked at Hagerman's Construction, Fort Wayne. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 1311. Surviving are his wife, Agnes G.; a stepson, Charles Fisher of Decatur; a daughter, Janice Meyers of Decatur; stepdaughters Catherine Birch and Carolyn Werst, both of Decatur, Sharon Garnett of New Haven, and Rosemary Schumm of Willshire, Ohio; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by stepsons Wayne and Bill Fisher; and eight brothers. Prayer services 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, precede Mass of Christian Burial 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary of The Assumption Catholic Church. Calling is 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a 3 p.m. rosary service. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials are to Adams County Home Health.
