DEATH OF PEARL E. CLAIR

Dies at Home in Edina Saturday at Age of 39 Years.

Pearl Ellis Clair of Edina died at his home at 4 o'clock Saturday morning of cancer of the throat. He was ill more than a year. Mr. Clair was 39 years old.

Funeral services were at the Edina Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Earl S. Woodard. Burial in Linville.

Surviving Mr. Clair are his widow; his mother, Mrs. Julia Clair, and children: Neva, Mrs. Clinton Overstreet, Hurdland, and Ernest, Junior, Martha Ann, James and Neoma Clair at home.

Also surviving are four sisters and a brother: Mrs. W. L. Harker, Quincy; Mrs. Cecil Funk, Hurdland; Mrs. Omer Davis, Ewing, and Mrs. Edward Huston and Guy Clair, Quincy.

Pearl Ellis Clair, a son of Frank and Julia Clair, was born in Mendon, Ill., June 7, 1896. He married Elsie Poston March 4, 1915. To them were born eight children, of whom two sons, Orville and Cletus, preceded their father in death.

The family moved to Edina from near Kenwood about two months ago.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Baptist Church for Pearl Clair, who died Saturday morning. Death was due to cancer. Rev. Earl Woodard had charge of the services. Burial was in the Linville Cemetery. Mr. Clair is survived by his wife and six children. Mr. Clair and family formerly lived near Kenwood, moving to Edina several months ago where they since have resided.
