Elsie Louisa Kelley, 92, of Lewistown, died in the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 1989.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, 1989, at the Coder Funeral Home in LaBelle with the Rev. Ray Peters officiating. Burial was in the Linville Cemetery in Edina.
Born in Edina on July 3, 1896, she was the daughter of Charles A. and Anna (Chappell) Poston. On March 4, 1914 (sic), she married Pearl Ellis Clair, who preceded her in death in April 1936.
On November 10, 1949, she married William Harrison Kelley, who preceded her in death on June 22, 1966.
Also preceding her in death were two sons who died in infancy; two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are three sons, Ernest Clair of Baring, Junior Clair of Hurdland and James Clair of Edina; three daughters, Mrs. Clint (Neva) Overstreet of Edina, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Calhoun of Quincy, Ill. and Mrs. Charles (Neoma) Runquist of Mendon, Ill.; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kelley had lived her entire life in the Hurdland, Edina and Lewistown area. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Edina.
