Canton, Jun 9--Theodore Klaas Grafelman, 66, was found hanging in the basement of his home, 607 East Walnut street, Monday evening. An inquest was conducted Tuesday evening by Dr. Raymond J. Mercey, Fulton county coroner.

A carpenter, Mr. Grafelman had been living in Canton since 1942 and was employed by the International Harvester Co.

He was born in Benson May 20, 1887, son of Claus & Etta Bender Grafelman. On Nov, 6, 1912, in Benson, he married Eva Jurgens, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Bushong, 521 North 7th avenue, and a son Leroy Grafelman, 155 South 6th avenue; a granddaughter, Janie Bushong; a brother, William, East Peoria; eight sisters, Mrs. Lucille Jackson, Mrs. Tillie Rahmeyer, Mrs. Edna DeBoer, all of Wyoming; Mrs. Freda Meyers, Creve Coeur; Mrs. Eleanor Feehan, Mrs. Sophia Deener and Mrs. Hilda Harms, of East Peoria; and Mrs. Clara Gronewold, of Edelstein.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. CST Thursday at Murphy's memorial home with Dr. Wills A. Reed officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
