James Earl "Poke" Parrish 87, of Fairview, WV, died May 16, 2000.

James was born on August 15th, 1912, son of late Scott and Laura Parker Parrish.

James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nola Wilson Parrish; two sons, Ronald Parrish and Michael Parrish; his daughter Terry Nigh; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;his two brothers Billy "Butch" and Wayne "Jiggs" Parrish; and also dear friend of 47 years, Walter Hall.

James was also preceded in death by a sister, Iva Parrish Ammons; and three brothers Loyd "Bohunk" Parrish, Paul "Peanut" Parrish and Chesney Parrish.

James was buried in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
