Mrs. Emmie E. Vaughan, age 95 of Birmingham, formerly of Bessemer, died Wednesday, January 31, 1996. Visitation will be Thursday February 1, at Brown Service Bessemer Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, February 2, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial in Valhalla Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Vaughn.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Clara Williford and Mrs. Adell Williams, both of Bessemer, Mrs. Edith Hulley of Birmingham, and Mrs. Nonnie Horton of Woodstock; sons, Mr. Vernon Vaughn of Shelby, Mr. Tom Vaughn of Hueytown, Mr. Fred Vaughn and Mr. Troy Mack Vaughn, both of Birmingham; 27 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
