Mr. Estes, 80 years old, died Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital, Memphis. He was born Feb. 14, 1883, in Marble Hill and had lived in Memphis since 1926. He was a retired contractor and carpenter with S and W Construction Co., Inc., and was a member of the carpenters' union and of Hobbs Chapel Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. His wife, the former Miss Dessie Proctor of Burfordville, died about two years ago.
In addition to his sister, he leaves a son, Paul H. Estes, and a daughter, Mrs. Anthony Marchisio, both of Memphis; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Attending his funeral in addition to Mrs. Burklow were; Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Zimmerman, Mrs. A. L. Seabaugh, Burette Zimmerman, Everett Estes Jr. of this city; Hubert Estes and Owen Estes of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Webster Sanders and children of St. Louis.
