The Belleville Telescope, April 17, 1986

Edna C. Teeter, daughter of Dudley and Alice Allen, was born June 17, 1895, on a farm south of Haddam, and died April 8, 1986, at the Mennonite Friendship Manor in Hutchinson, at the age of 90 years, nine months and 21 days.

She was united in marriage to Vernon J. Teeter on June 28, 1914, and to this union two daughters were born.

She was a member of the First Methodist church, Naomi Circle , and various community clubs. She worked for two and one-half years at Oak Ridge, Tenn., and eight years at J. C. Penney's in Manhattan, Kansas.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and three brothers: Bert, Clarence and Lloyd.

Surviving are her daughters: Mrs. Bill (Marvene) Chambers of Haddam, Mrs. Dean (Wilda) Tucker of Hutchinson; four grandchildren and five-great-grandchildren

Funeral services were held Friday, April 11, from the United Methodist Church in Haddam, conducted by Rev. Joe Reagan. Interment was in Haddam Cemetery.
