Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Schmalfeldt Sieveka, aged 62, who died Friday morning of pneumonia at her home, were held from the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon. The services were in charge of the pastor, Rev. W.P. Nicholas. The deceased was born in Holstein, Germany. When about one year of age, her parents came to this country settling near Clinton. Fourteen years later they moved to a farm four miles north of Wyoming. Here she spent her girlhood until her marriage to Herman sieveka in 1900. The home was established on the present farm, four miles southwest of Wyoming. Two children were born to this union. Peter of Olin and Mrs. Helma Batel of Chicago. she was a member of the Presbyterian Industrial society, and of the Everready Farm Women's club. For the past three years she had been in failing health, and only a short time ago contracted the flu which developed into pneumonia. She is survived by her husband and son and daughter, three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Herman Ehrich of Atalissa, Mrs. John Bahnsen of Wyoming, Mrs. John Claussen of Bryant and Peter Schmalfeldt of Onslow.
