LONG TIME RESIDENT OF ONSLOW, PETER SCHMALFELDT, DIES....ONSLOW
Peter Schmalfeldt, 73, passed away Sunday noon in Mercy hospital at Anamosa, following an extended illness. Mr. Schmalfeldt came with his parents to the farm near Onslow when about 12 years old and had resided there continuously since that time. He was the only son in a family of five children. Three sisters, Mrs. Christine Bahnsen, Mrs. Mary Sieveka, and Mrs. Minnie Von Sprecken preceded him in death. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Anna Claussen of Bryant, his wife, four sons, John, Ed, George and clifford, three daughters, Mrs. vina Thompson, Mrs. Anna Guhl and Mrs. Christine Womachka, three grandsons and one granddaughter. One son, Harvey, recently died.
