WYOMING, FEBRUARY 20
Mrs Minnie Von Sprecken, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Schmalfeldt, was born in Holstein, Germany, October 15th, 1860 and passed away at Wyoming, February 12th, 1923. She came to this country when six years of age. On April 1, 1881, she was united in marriage to John Von Spreecken at Maquoketa. To this union were born nine children: Mrs. Ernest Sieveka, Mrs. Hans Kettlesen, John Peter and Harry of Wyoming, Mrs. Leonard Ingwersen and Mrs. Chris Petersen of Onslow, Mrs. Henningsen of Dolliver, Iowa, Mrs. Gus Ehlers of Stuart, Iowa. Five sisters, one brother and eight grandchildren also survive. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church Thursday afternoon, conducted by Ray H.J. Bowder of Lisbon a former pastor, assisted by Rev. C.W. Cleveland. The church was crowded with friends and neighbors gathered to pay their last respects to the departed.
