Mrs. May worked as a nurse for Doctors James Dellinger, John Denton, Robert Iden, Frank Black and Douglas Morris for 30 years. She was a longtime member of the Nokesville Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years- Stanley A. May; three daughters- Carol Ellen Bumgarner, Lake Worth, FL, Betty Sue Sheffield, Catlett, VA and Lois Ann Ogburn, Reedville, VA; two sisters- E. Mildred Hale, Madison, VA and Wilma Lee House, Nokesville VA; one brother- Thomas Clay Wood, Nokesville; seven grandchildren- Cathy Hartman, Judy Morgan, Brian Gustafson, Travis Bumgarner, Leigh Hawkins, Jason Robinson and J. C. Ogburn, IV and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 11:00 AM at the Nokesville Church of the Brethren, Nokesville, VA by Rev. Mark Godfrey. Interment Valley View Cemetery, Nokesville.
