Statesboro - Mr. Glenn Bland, Jr., age 91, died Thursday, January 2, 2003 at Statesboro Nursing Home. He was a native of Statesboro, but had spent most of his life in Savannah. He was a professional insurance adjuster and the owner of insurance adjusting businesses in both Savannah and Statesboro. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Ogeechee Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Alee Shriners. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Townsend Bland.
Surviving are his brother, Robert Bland of Statesboro; his sister, Juanita Cannon of Statesboro; a sister-in-law, Mary Townsend of Dublin; three nieces, Gloria Rahn of Glennville, Carol Hewson of Hardeeville, S. C., and Deborah Vestal of Dublin; a nephew, Jim Townsend of Dublin; and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services: 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Eastside Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Claxton officiating. Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home.
