Omaha- Mable Neumann, 90 of Omaha, formerly of Grand Island, died Tuesday, March 21. Services will be Thursday at 11 am at Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev Richard Dimond will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery at Grand Island. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Neumann was born June 18, 1898 at Cope, Colo, the daughter of Christian and Mary Petersen Borre. They later moved to the Wolbach area where she received her education and grew up. After completing her education she worked as a clerk at the Farmers Union store in Wolbach.
In August 1926 she married Harold Neumann. They farmed near Wolbach, retiring and moving to Grand Island in the early 1960s. Mr. Neumann died in 1976.
In 1982 she moved to Omaha and just this month she entered a care home there. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Grand Island.
Survivors include two sons, LeRoy and Jack, both of Omaha, a sister, Mrs. Lula Nealon of Wolbach, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
