Alfred Borre Rites at Omaha Dec 10 -

Mr. Alfred Borre, 64, former Wolbach resident passed away last Wednesday afternoon at the St. Catherine Hospital in Omaha Nebraska. He was struck by a car while crossing a street in Omaha on November 19th and appeared to have suffered only head and leg injuries. Death was attributed to a blood clot.

Services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in the Hofman Mortuary in Omaha and burial was in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Pallbearers were nephews, Donald Borre, Wayne Borre, LeRoy Newmann, Art Pine, Orville Hutchinson and Eugene Martin.

Alfred Borre was born April 2, 1896 at Cope, Colorado, the son of Christen and Mary Borre. In 1908 the family moved to a farm near Wolbach and he grew up and attended school in this community. He is a World War 1 veteran and a Member of Post No. 1 in Omaha and a former member of the Ray Mapes American Legion Post at Wolbach. He and Margaret Wolber were married December 4, 1936.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Margaret, 4 sisters, Francis Johnsen of Omaha, Mable Newmann of Grand Island, Anna Brockway of Los Angeles, California and Lula Nealon of Wolbach and 1 brother, William C. Borre.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, John E. Borre, and 2 sisters, Carrie Martin and Rose Hutchinson.
Mrs. Lula Nealon and Mrs. Duane Timmons accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Harold Neumann of Grand Island to Omaha to attend the services.
