Funeral Rites Thursday for William Borre -

Services for William C. Borre, 83, who died Monday morning at his home here, will be Thursday at 2 PM in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach with the Rev. Frank Freeman officiating.

Visitation hours are 7-9 PM Wednesday in the McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home, with burial in the Hillside Cemetery.

Mr. Borre was born at Bennett, Nebr on July 13, 1886 to Christian and Mary Petersen Borre. As a youngster he moved with his family to Cope, Colo. Prior to returning to Nebraska, he was married to Miss Hazel Stratton, Dec 23, 1909 at Cope. They farmed in the Wolbach area until 1946, when they moved into Wolbach and he became the manager of the Farmers Coop Elevator until his retirement in 1956.

A member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, he is survived by his wife; 6 daughters, Mrs. Leland (Doris) Berney of San Gabriel, Calif; Mrs. Kermit (Lorraine) Moffett of Vista, Calif; Mrs. Wanda Nelson of Grand Island, Mrs. C. H. (Billie) Fiese of Gothenburg; Mrs. Virgil (Jeane) Berney of Palmer, Mrs. George (JoAnn) Kamper of Grand Island; 2 sons, Donald of Hanover Park Terrace, Ill, and Wayne of Omaha; 4 sisters, Mrs. Anna Brockway of Los Angeles, Mrs. Frances Johnsen of Omaha, Mrs. Mabel Neuman of Grand Island, and Mrs. Lula Nealon of Wolbach; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were 1 daughter, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 3 grandchildren.
