Surviving are her husband John Thorne; two daughters, Miss Jerelene Thorne and Mrs. Virginia Bulter, Vesuvius, six sons, Leo Thorne, Staunton; Paul E. Thorne and David Thorne, Waynesboro; Harold, Jerry and Donnie Thorne, Vesuvius; her mother, Mrs. Mary Bell Mason, Vesuvius; three sisters, Mrs. R. B. Miller and Mrs. Wilson Coffey, both of Waynesboro; Mrs. Emmett Carr, Lynchburg; three brothers, Raymond Chittum, US Army at Fort Knox, KY., Taylor Chittum, Waynesboro; and Hamilton Chittum, Charlottesville and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Concord Church of the Brethren near Fairfield Monday afternoon, with burial in the church cemetery.
