OTTO ALBER DEAD OF CANCER
Death Was At Home Southeast of Edina — Burial Monday.

Otto Alber, 55 years old, died about noon Friday at his home southeast of Edina of cancer of the throat after an illness of three month,s and undergoing an operation in Quincy in June.
Funeral services were conducted here at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning at St. Joseph's Church by the Rev. D. J. Donovan. Burial was in the new Catholic cemetery.
His widow survives with six children: Louis; Otto, Jr.; Miss Ellen, Mrs. Bert Swann and Johnnie and George Alber, all at home except Mrs. Swann, who is of near Novelty. Mr. Alber also leaves two sisters, Misses Mary and Anna Alber, of Edina.
Mr. Alber was born Jan. 23, 1871, at Quincy, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Alber. He moved to Knox County with his parents when a child, and has always lived on the farm where death came. He was married Sept. 18, 1903, to Miss Mary Costello. They were the parents of seven children, one of whom died in infancy.
Sister Honora and Sister Magdelena of Davenport, la., the former a sister of Mrs. Alber, were here for the funeral.
